Well done. Declassifying a wine is a true leap of faith, because it assumes a high level of customer knowledge (especially in Europe, where "explanation" on the label are hard to come by).
When I was in the wine business, I was able to snag some incredible bargains from producers who declassified (Puligny-Montrachet labeled and sold as Bourgogne Blanc, etc). But you need inside information to do that.
Very cool explanation of a complex area. I love how you made this so easy to understand!

Great explanation of a wonderful region. Quite complex what they get up to :)
Thanks for taking the time to comment Sarah. Indeed lots of stuff going on in Maremma Toscana!
I’m in catch up mode on your blogs. I’m going to find a wine from there from someone and try 🥰
Music to my ears!!
