Loved this one. I fell in love with wine via CDP! My dad always had stunning ones that luckily he opened and shared with me. To this day, CDP’s are still my favorite wines. I love a bold one but then some nights we enjoy modern styles. I just adore them!

I loved this wine! The flavors were so crisp, and precise; organized like a kitchen drawer where every utensil is neatly in it's place, and yet what struck me as the best part was just how balanced this wine is. Ripe tannin, refreshing acidity, fruit precision/complexity all in perfect harmony with each other. Great wine. I also loved this article, your passion for CDP is oozing through page.

Yup, I could have gushed some more... It had been a long while that I was trying to find a traditional one. I wanted you to experience this wine. When you loved it as much as I did, it reminded me that I should write about it!

Brings back great memories, thank you. When I visited the Pope's Palace in Avignon, I wanted to be photographed smoking a cigar in the Pope's chair, but my wife (who lacks a sense of humor) ruled out the possibility.

😂 I would have made that photo my headline photo for this post! I loved walking around the Pope's Palace at night- hard to describe the feeling! Just cool, I suppose.

It was a pretty crappy wooden chair, actually. You'd think he would have rated some fabric, embroidery, or even a pillow. I guess when you're the alternative Pope, you operate on a tight budget.

I assume the wealth ebbed and flowed throughout the ages??? I think I can picture that chair. 🪑 😊
